Florida… Ideal for the Winter break

If you live in the UK you are probably experiencing cold, dark winter days right now. As we are now in Winter the days get shorter and people often become lethargic and feel down. The simple answer to this is to get away to somewhere where the sun is still shining, it's still warm and the days are longer!

A winter sunshine break is the ideal tonic to getting a boost ready for the cold winter ahead and what better place to do this than Florida in the USA.

Florida is known as the Sunshine State, and is said to only see a few days of rain every year. Naturally, you can't guarantee sunshine but there is a much higher chance of being able to lie out on the beach in Florida in November than there is in the UK!

Aside from the weather there is plenty to do in Florida and this could have a bearing on where you stay (unless you fancy a road trip).

In Orlando you have access to the world famous Disney Resorts, perfect if you are travelling with young children (or adults who are still kids at heart!). There is plenty to keep the whole family entertained with shows and theme park attractions.

If you fancy something a little more trendy then Miami is the place to be. Set on the south Florida coast line Miami offers visitors golden sands, perfect blue seas and year round temperatures. There is also a vibrant night life and plenty of quality restaurants where you can spend your evenings relaxing.

If you venture even further south you will come across the Florida Keys. They Keys are a group of islands that offer tropical conditions and are often known as the American Caribbean. The islands span for around 110 miles and are connected by a number of bridges and causeways. They really are a sight to be seen!

Diving is also very popular in The Keys, mainly due to the hundreds of species of tropical fish in the reefs.

So all in all, Florida has plenty to whet the appetite and provides visitors and holidaymakers with the ideal location for all year round sunshine and entertainment!

The appeal of staying in a Villa near Disney

Holidays in Orlando are great for the family. They offer everything from Theme Parks to year round sunshine so it is no wonder that it attracts so many tourists year after year.

One of the main attractions of Orlando is of course the Disney Theme Parks. Not only are they a fantastic experience for the kids, but they also offer a great way for mum and dad to relax from the stresses of everyday life and relive their childhood.

There are many different choices of accommodation in Orlando, and one of the most appealing is the holiday villa. Why? Putting it simply a holiday villa can help to reduce expensive holidays if you are travelling in a large party and also provides you with the freedom to do what you want, when you want. So if you fancy putting a meal together at 3 in the afternoon – you can- and if you can fancy a BBQ in the early evening – you can! Sometimes when you stay in a hotel you can find that you are stuck to set meal times, which isn’t always ideal when you have kids that want to go off and do things during the day.

As I have already mentioned the cost of a holiday villa can be very appealing. Usually with a villa you pay for the villa, not for the number of people that are travelling. So when you have a large group of friends of family the price per person soon comes down when staying in a villa near Disney.

Finally, another thing that appeals to people when staying in a Villa is that it’s like a home. You will find luxuries such as TV’s, DVD players, Hi-Fi’s and maybe even a computer with Internet access. You can very often find that your Villa will also have a private pool (maybe small, but enough to take a dip in the Orlando sun!). The condition and quality of the Villas are usually very high, because at the end of the day you are staying in someone’s house and people usually maintain and furnish their houses to the standard they would of their own home.

If a Villa near Disney appeals to you when you are next staying in Orlando then why not visit our luxury Villa which is just 12 minutes drive from the Disney resort in the Tuscan Hills community.

Where to stay during your Golf Holiday in Florida

Florida, in particular Orlando, is huge on Golf. Many people travel to Florida for their annual golfing holiday. In 2009 Florida hosted 4 PGA Tour events and boasts a number of courses designed by the all time greats.

Before you travel to Florida on your golfing trip or vacation you might want to think about where you want to stay. There are many different options when it comes to staying in Florida / Orlando, and one of the most popular choices is to hire a private holiday villa.

Many people enjoy playing Golf because it helps them escape from the reality and stress of going to work everyday, so what better way to relax and unwind than staying in a private villa with your family or golfing buddies?

Holiday Villas are often very cost effective, because you pay for the Villa and not per person. This means if your party of golfers is quite large then you can spread the cost between you making it much cheaper than staying in a hotel. Likewise many Villas have a garage (sometimes double garage) which means there is plenty of room to store you golf clubs, again, unlike in a cramped hotel room.

Of course there is much more to Florida than just golf. There are plenty of attractions that offer fantastic experiences such as Disney World, Universal Studios, Gatar Land and Sea World. There are also many nice beaches if you choose to stay near to the coast.

IF you are on a golfing holiday and you are travelling with your family it is important to remember to book accommodation that is near to places of interest, so that while you are off playing golf they can enjoy some of the experiences that the area has to offer.

The ideal holiday package would be to stay in a holiday villa near Disney, which would also be close to the Highland Reserve, PGA Golf Course. This features a full 18 hole course built into amazing grounds and its just 15 minutes drive away from Disney World and other attractions in the area.

Sunshine, Disney and Holiday Villas

Florida is a very popular holiday destination for sun seekers and thrill seekers and when you see what the state has to offer it’s no surprise that it attracts millions of visitors.

There is no shortage of things to do or see in Florida. From the Miami Keys all the way up to Disney World you will never be short of anything to do. And if you decide that you want to stop and relax then check out the fantastic beaches down on the Miami coast. Orla ndo has great weather all year around.

When you travel to Florida one of the first things that you will look for is somewhere to stay. This largely depends on what attractions you want to visit when you go because Florida is a large state. Many people travel to Florida, or more specifically Orlando, to visit Disney World. Disney World in itself offers a large range of hotel experiences so that you can actually stay on or around the resort itself. This might be a good idea for some people but what many don’t know is that a Holiday Villa near Disney might just be a more cost effective option.

Holiday Villas can be found all over Florida, and many around the Disney World area. Holiday Villas can usually sleep between 8 and 14 people, and the beauty is that you pay for the Villa, not per person, so it can work out to be a real cost effective solution.

If you intend to visit the Disney World resort on a regular basis then you should look for a holiday villa near to Disney. If you hire a car during your stay then you can consider something a little further away. There are many small communities of holiday villas around 10-15 minutes drive away which means that you can enjoy the excitement of the Disney Resorts whilst being able to escape and relax in the evenings. A holiday villa gives you more freedom and flexibility during your vacation as you can come and go as you please, prepare meals when you want (or even eat out) and many also come with their own private pool.

So before you travel to Florida for your Vacation be sure to check out Holiday Villas near Disney.

Deciding where to stay on your trip to Disney World

We all love to go on vacation, sometimes more than once a year. It gives us the chance to step away from the troubles of day to day life and enjoy quality time with our family and friends. Many people travel to Florida every single year to enjoy the attractions it has to offer, along with the gorgeous weather (they don’t call it the sunshine state for nothing!)

The choice of accommodation for your Florida vacation is probably one of the most important decisions you will make before you visit. Although you hope not to spend too much time in your accommodation its important that you are in nice surroundings when it comes to meal times and bed time. You want to be able to relax without having to worry about things going wrong.

One of the main attractions in Florida is Disney World. The Disney resort itself offers many different hotel packages to suit all budgets. If you are travelling with a large group of friends and/or family sometimes your budget can get stretched a litte too far. With a large group you might want to consider some alternative accommodation, like a privately owned holiday villa near Disney.

Holiday Villas are the perfect way to enjoy your stay in Florida with your family. They offer you the chance to get away from the resort once your day is over which enables you to relax and unwind. Many villas come with their own pools (some indoors, some outdoors) and Spa areas and some even come with their own games rooms!

If you are looking to stay in a holiday villa near Disney it is important to know exactly where the villa is before you book. How far is it from the Disney resort? Do you need to hire a car or is there a shuttle bus then can taken you and your family to the resort?

You might also want to consider what else Florida has to offer. For example, do you want to be near to a beach or another attraction? Although Disney World is a fantastic experience Florida has a lot more to offer its visitors and you should take that into consideration when planning your trip and your choice of accommodation.

What to look for when booking your Villa near Disney

If you are thinking of taking a vacation to Disney World, Florida, then you will need somewhere to stay. As you can imagine, there is no shortage of accommodation in Florida, especially around the Disney Resort! The only problem is that this can sometimes make it difficult to make the right choice when looking for somewhere to stay.

Here are a few tips of what to look for before booking your Villa near Disney.

  1. The Physical Appearance of the Villa. What does it look like? Is it nice and clean and well presented? What you don’t want is to end up in an old, shabby Villa. Afterall you might be spending two weeks staying here! Many Villas are well presented as they are personal homes to their owners for certain periods of the year

  2. Does it have a pool? Not all Villas come with their own private pool. If a pool is important to you make sure that you check it has one first before committing to the booking.

  3. Does it have enough room for the size of your booking? Many holiday villas sleep around 10 people, but most of them differ depending of the size of the villa. Check to make sure that the Villa can accommodate your party.

  4. How far is it from the nearest amenities? As you are booking a villa you will need to know where the nearest supermarket is, and maybe the nearest town with bars and restaurants. Is it walkable, or do you need to jump in a car to get there?

  5. What are the costs? Are there any hidden costs – for example do you need to pay extra to have the pool heated? Check on the owners web site before you book as they will generally have all the information you need on here.

These five tips are generally common sense, but in the excitement of booking your holiday to Disney World they can sometimes be forgotten. So before you book your holiday take a step back and think about some of the questions that you might want answering regarding the Villa near Disney.

Planning your trip to Disney World

Disney World is a large attraction, and unless you plan your day you can very often end up missing out on some of the experiences it has to offer. Disney World offers attractions for all ages, both young and old so it is the ideal holiday destination for your family.

Booking your holiday to Disney is vey straightforward. You can usually book your tickets in advance before you travel. If you want you can stay in a hotel on the resort, or you have the option of staying offsite, perhaps in a privately owned luxury villa near Disney.

If you are travelling some distance to get to Disney you will need to think about how you are getting there. Most people will fly into Orlando so you need to think about booking your flights and then arranging your transfer from the airport to your accommodation.

Disney World tends to cater for many different budgets so think about what your family like to do, what they like to eat and what shows and experiences that you would like to see before you visit. This can help you to plan and budget your stay in Orlando.

Visiting Disney World is often like visiting downtown of any American City (in fact it is actually known as Downtown Disney!) If you are staying outside of the resort have you considered how you will be getting to Disney?

When you finally get in to the resort grab yourself a park map and work out what attractions you want to see in what order. If you follow a logical route around the park (rather than hopping from one area to another, and then back again) then your day will be much more efficient and you will get greater value for money.

The resort offers many different cuisines and dining tastes so there is something for everyone. Try to work out your dining times into your day plan and make sure that you eat somewhere that everyone in your party is happy with!

Disney World offers not only a great day out but a great experience. Make that experience even better by putting a little bit of planning into your day.
